Dedicated to Doris - no longer with us in body, but most assuredly with us in spirit every single day...

Simply put, Doris was a sweetheart. As physically gifted a dog as we ever had, she was Creek’s buddy as well as Howler’s mistress in a poorly timed tryst that ended up putting her out for the race season and giving us Smokey and Harold. Doris ran lead for the “B” team and helped counteract Creek’s stubbornness with her good nature. She too succumbed to cancer. She went into house hospice with us and Jacob slept on the floor with her from March until November when she finally passed. Towards the end we had to carry her outside for her daily constitution. Much like her buddy Creek she was an honest dog, and she loved people – but especially Jake.
