OUR STORY
Good stories always open with a great beginning.
In a small log cabin deep in the woods of Pembine Wisconsin, Tim and Toni Eichinger started Black Husky Brewing in 2010. They drew their inspiration from the dogs in their son's sled dog kennel, naming the brewery after their beloved husky, Howler.
Tim and Toni began transporting kegs and bottles in their Ford Transit Connect van to meet the ever increasing demand from bars and restaurants in Milwaukee. First it was just a keg here and a case there, but eventually they were turning business away to alleviate the wear and tear on their vehicle.
In 2016, Black Husky moved the brewery operations to the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee. Formerly an auto garage, the new space accommodates a taproom alongside the brewery and a small canning line. The backdrop may have changed but the beer is still produced with the same honor and dedication ensuring the legacy of their 23 dogs lives on.

OUR HUMANS
Tim and Toni run the show but not without the help of their staff. It's a small crew consisting of beer tenders, a few helping hands for events, and graphic/social media manager (self-titled).
The community of the surrounding Riverwest neighborhood, friends, family, event runners, brewers, local representatives, and all those that have yet to pass the taproom threshold are part of the what makes Black Husky Brewing a space for everyone.

Howler was an exceptional dog and because of this, Black Husky Brewing got its namesake.

Shad earned his ego having run the Iditarod. He really felt like he was better than other dogs, and he was.

Angel was a painfully shy dog but she loved Jake the moment she met him. When Jake left home Angel would mournfully howl, letting him know she missed him and was watching over him; we all hoped he was safe and happy.

Our Dogs
Although our dogs are no longer with us, their memory lives on through our taproom. From the names of the beers to the photos on the walls. Now we share the space with your own four-legged friends.
